The Clay Trails pass through Ennals Pool.
Walkers, cyclists and horse riders on the Clay Trails pass right through our land at Trethurgy. The public route crosses our 16-acre woodland and former china-clay site, with the lake and small nature-stay accommodation tucked into the wider landscape.
Walking and cycling on the trail through our land
The Clay Trails are not just an attraction nearby - the route itself crosses Ennals Pool. It is a shared public right of way, and people passing through are welcome to enjoy the landscape. The lake, woodland clearings and guest accommodation sit away from the main line of the trail, so please respect private areas and wildlife habitat.
Guests staying at Kingfisher’s Perch or the Vintage Tent can use the Clay Trails to explore the wider Eden Project and St Austell clay-country landscape. The network has climbs and changing surfaces; please use the official map before setting off, allow for changing conditions and take particular care after dark. We do not promise that walking or cycling to an Eden concert at night is suitable without checking the route.
